Apple releases security update - iPhone OS 3.0.1.

Apple have released a patch to fix a security hole in their SMS implementation. The Apple support article has the following information:

 Impact: Receiving a maliciously crafted SMS message may lead to an unexpected service interruption or arbitrary code execution

Description: A memory corruption issue exists in the decoding of SMS messages. Receiving a maliciously crafted SMS message may lead to an unexpected service interruption or arbitrary code execution. This update addresses the issue through improved error handling. It is my view that APPLE will in no time soon become attractive to observing corporate markets if it continues the approach to issues with products in the market place. I like to think I am bias toward Apple when it comes to consumer forwardness, customer care and product innovation. Yet this repeated silence is seen as more and more negative.
